About the workshop

In this 3 hours workshop, we would take a walk around some of the best landmarks of Sydney and create unique shots of Sydney in the night. 

Learn using the tool of shutter speed and master long exposure to create breathtaking images.


  1. Long Exposures & Metering for Night Photography
  2. Correct Focusing Techniques
  3. Correct Colour Temperature and White Balance Settings
  4. Achieving Noiseless and Sharp photos even with long exposures
  5. Correct Compositions for making interesting images
  6. Mixing and Adding lighting to take creative night portraits
  7. Manual mode on your cameras for efficient results in the dark.
  8. Creative aspects of Long Exposure.


  • DSLR &/or Mirror Less Camera with Wide Angle Lens
  • A Sturdy Tripod (if you have one, We will have two tripods to be shared by participants, however in this case you will have to wait for your turn)
  • Your water bottle, shoe & suitable clothing as per weather, a torch or phone with a fully charged battery to assist in viewing settings 
  • Extra camera battery if possible
  • Empty Memory Card(s) with suitable storage
  • Your Positive energy, a will for creative learning and your passion
